WLF fokus pada tiga area utama dalam sektor pendidikan, yaitu Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, Literasi dan Numerasi Dasar dan Pendidikan Kejuruan menggunakan ketiga pendekatan WLF. Pada konteks pendidikan, implementasi program menekankan adanya penguatan kapasitas tenaga pendidik, terbangunnya hubungan dan keterkaitan antara pemangku kepentingan, pemanfaatan wadah-wadah yang sudah ada seperti Kelompok Kerja Guru dan Komite Sekolah, dan melakukan advokasi kepada pemerintah terkait untuk memperkuat kerangka kebijakan terkait ketiga area yang menjadi fokus kerja WLF dalam sektor pendidikan.

Program-program yang dilaksanakan oleh WLF bersama para mitra pelaksana diharapkan dapat berkontribusi kepada pencapaian tujuan SDGs ke-4, yaitu Menjamin Pendidikan yang Inklusif dan Merata Serta Meningkatkan Kesempatan Belajar Sepanjang Hayat untuk Semua.
